The Bible Teaches
Just as God is unlimited or infinite with respect to time, so God is unlimited with respect to space. God is omnipresence, meaning, “God does not have size or spatial dimensions and is present at every point of space with his whole being, yet God acts differently in different places.” (Wayne Grudem)
The first evidence is the creation of the material world. He was not limited by space because out of nothing he created the material world.
Moses tells the Israelites Behold, to the Lord your God belong heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it.” Deut 10:14
David is very clear that there is no place he could go away from God. Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. Psalm 139:7–10
Roaming through Romans heading to the cross
Preparing for next Sunday, Oct 4th
Prayer reading and consider Romans 1:1-15
- What does Paul say about Christ in these verses?
- Why is it critical for the Gospel to be preached to all people?
- Why is Paul writing Romans?
- Does obedience spring from faith?
