Due to the extreme cold weather all services for Sunday, December 31,2017, have been cancelled.  Pastor Walt encourages you to read Psalm 26 at home with your family, specifically considering verse 2.   Listed below are a series of questions to think about as you ponder what it means to have God examine your life.

Idea for Home Worship

Pray:  Ask God to guide your time together.  Ask for an open mind and heart to hear what the Holy Spirit has for you today.

Read: Psalm 26:1-12, Psalm 139:23-24, Jeremiah 11:20

Discussion:

   - What does it mean to have God search you?

   - What are examples of God testing people?

     (Hebrews 11:17-19, Exodus 16:4, Deuteronomy 13:3,

      Judges 2:20-23, 1 Chronicles 29:17)

   - What is the purpose of testing? (Exodus 20:20)

   - How are we to look at testing?  (James 1:2-8)

As a family prayerfully discuss and consider several, if not all, of the following questions:

What kind of priority do you give to Bible reading and prayer in your life?

Where are you prone to wander spiritually?

What sins are you battling?

What are some evidences of grace in your life recently?

What is the greatest need in your spiritual life?

What compels you to worship God? What does that mean to you?

How is the condition of your soul?

How would you describe your call to follow Jesus Christ?

What is God doing in your heart right now?

How have you seen the Holy Spirit produce new fruit in your life?

What opportunities for ministry do you see before you?

What is God calling you to be or do?

What information or resources would be helpful for your spiritual growth?

Where have you experienced the most spiritual growth lately?

In what ways are you making disciples?

What resources do you need to accomplish your ministry goals?

How is the Lord leading you to respond to him?

What is the Lord leading you to know (head), feel (heart), or do (hands) with regard to ministry?

What is the greatest need in your ministry life?

Pray:  As a family pray for each other to be all they can be for Jesus.

Enjoy time as a family:  (Sing, play a game, read a book together, etc)
